BUILDING GREATER TRUST, RAPPORT AND CREDIBILITY
The 35th Annual Administrative Professionals Course
Now in its thirty-fifth year, the Annual Assistant's Seminar is
an intensive three-day workshop intended to explore and
develop the intellectual, organizational and interpersonal abilities
of each participant. Rather than focusing on the fundamentals,
this program concentrates on the knowledge and specialized
skills that will sustain your career growth.
The residential nature of the seminar affords the participant a
unique opportunity to consider the focal topics in much greater
depth than is possible at a one or two day, "home town"
seminar. As well, this program is comprehensive, and stands on
its own. It is not intended to build upon or act as a follow-up to
any other seminar.
The Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Palms Hotel & Casino, Grosvenor Resort and Hyatt Regency Islandia have been chosen to host this year's sessions. The service and the cuisine at these world class facilities is excellent and the relaxed atmosphere is highly conducive to learning. The praise this seminar has received over the past thirty-five years reflects the persistent research and consequent revision which ensures that the program is at the cutting edge.
The Strategic Skills
By learning to exercise responsibility more effectively,
develop your communication skills, manage your time,
and turn stress into personal energy, you will gain a
deeper sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
This seminar will focus on the practical strategies you
can use immediately to:
- Get control of your time and your work
- Fit time management techniques to your style
- Combat self-defeating time patterns
- Protect the executive's time
- Set realistic goals and objectives
- Improve your problem solving skills
- Plan your performance to achieve desired results
- Enhance your professional image
- Cope effectively with stress and its effects
- Develop successful career strategies
Today's management team is becoming increasingly
sophisticated and results oriented. By learning how to
communicate more effectively, minimize conflict,
assume greater responsibility and manage stress, you
will increase your value to the organization, your boss
and to yourself.
At this seminar you will participate in a significant
learning experience with others who share the same
goals and face the same challenges.
The People Skills
The most frustrating limitations placed upon you have
little to do with your technical abilities; rather the most
trying aspects of your work often involve dealing with
other people. To be really effective in dealing with
others, you must perfect your ability to:
- Present your ideas clearly and effectively
- Improve your communication and listening skills
- Handle conflicts and situations which upset others
- Deal effectively with different and sometimes difficult people
- Strengthen your interpersonal skills
- Develop your negotiating skills
- Learn to turn conflict into agreement
